Public Works Dump TruckThe City storm sewer system, streets, parks, cemetery and governmental buildings are under the Public Works Department. The Department is responsible for snow plowing, sanding, pothole patching, and sidewalk replacement. In addition, the maintenance of City parks as well as the care of trees is their responsibility.

Thomas Owens ParkThe Department  headquarters is located at 503 20th Avenue. This location also houses the City's Electric and Gas, Water & Sewer Departments.

Hours of operation - Public Works hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding major holidays.

Yard Waste Facility:
The City's yard waste facility is open  to residents and businesses located within the City.  Yard waste items such as grass clippings, leaves and branches are the only items accepted at this site.  They must be sorted and dumped in the appropriate piles.  The site will be staffed by City employees and monitored to avoid dumping of objects that are not permitted.
